What is the difference between an in-person registration and online channel registration?

By attending in-person at the Cairns Convention Centre you will get the full experience of live presentations, opportunity to ask questions to presenters, engage with the sponsors and exhibitors and network with other delegates. Some program content such as interactive workshops and occupation stations will only be accessible in-person.

We are also offering an Online Channel which is a more limited experience but provides the ability to watch pre-recorded presentations, view brochures and videos from exhibitors, and connect with delegates who are also participating online.

If I attend the 30th National Conference and Exhibition 2023 in-person, can I still access the online channel?

Yes, all registered delegates will have access to the content on the online channel for the day/s of their registration, for 45 days post-event. Please note that not all presentation content will be available on the online channel.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

A full refund less administration fee of $150 inc GST will be provided for all cancellations received in writing at least 30 days prior to the event.

No refund will be given for cancellations received within 30 days of the event; however, an alternative delegate may be submitted. For more detail, see the full registration terms and conditions.

Is there a group discount available?

Yes, groups of 5 or more delegates will receive a 5% discount to the group. All group members must be from the same organisation and registering for a full registration type.

If I can't attend, can I transfer my registration?

All fully paid registrations are transferable to another person. Transfers must be advised by email to Occupational Therapy Australia at least 30 days prior to the event. For more detail, see the full registration terms and conditions..

Do you offer a pass to access the exhibition only?

No, the exhibition is available to conference delegates only.

Can I claim CPD hours for attending?

By attending the Conference, you can claim CPD hours based on your individual participation. See more detailed information on the CPD page.

Will speaker presentations be available after the event?

Pre-recorded oral presentations and ePoster displays will be available to view OnDemand via the Online Channel for 45 days post event. Please note that workshops and occupation stations will not be available to view post event, and some keynote and invited speaker recordings will only be available for a limited time of 24-48 hours post presentation.

Do I need to pre-register for each session or workshop?

No, you can attend the presentation, workshop or occupation station of your choosing on the day.

Where can I find a copy of my tax invoice?

Upon completing your online registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with your tax invoice attached. Please also check your junk mail for this email. For group registrations, one tax invoice will be issued to the group coordinator only.

Do I need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend the in-person event?

All participants of the event will be required to comply with the COVID safety guidelines and protocols in place with Occupational Therapy Australia and the event venue, which will be aligned and compliant with all relevant Government health advice at the time of the event. Proof of vaccination status may be required to enter the event in line with the Government regulations at the time of the event. No refunds will be provided for inability to prove vaccination status as per the guidelines. Details of the protocols and requirements will be available on the website and all registrants will be bound by these requirements.

Complete the expression of interest form and indicate you are interested to hear more about volunteering. We will then send you information once applications are open.
